I work part-time at Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins. I generally work morning shift, anywhere between 4 a.m. and 2 p.m. We get a lot of customers in the morning, especially through the Drive-Thru. I enjoy working Drive-Thru because I get to hear a splendid variety of silly things from customers.
I have worked at Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins for close to three years. My coworkers and I started writing down silly events as they happened so that we could look back and laugh.
Don’t get me wrong; working at 4 a.m. does not mean that I am fully awake! I know I’ve said some pretty silly things to customers (by mistake, of course).
It must be the fact that everyone is tired and have not had their helping of coffee to wake them up yet…or maybe it’s the result of talking on a cell phone while ordering – not sure what the cause is!
All that matters is that consumers say the darndest things. I’m pretty sure you will see some silly quotations, ranging on topics of doughnuts, coffee, ice cream and other miscellaneous subjects!
